This blend co-formulates cagrilintide and semaglutide in a 1:1 ratio, mirroring the combination under investigation as CagriSema. The two mechanisms are complementary: semaglutide engages the GLP-1 receptor 3 while cagrilintide engages amylin/calcitonin receptors 2.
In a phase 1b trial of the combination, cagrilintide 2.4 mg with semaglutide 2.4 mg produced a mean body-weight change of −17.1% at 20 weeks versus −9.8% with semaglutide alone 1.
