Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide (Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) that stimulates GH release through the ghrelin/GHS receptor. It was identified in a Novo Nordisk programme as the first GHRP-receptor agonist whose selectivity for GH matched that of GHRH itself.
In the defining study, ipamorelin released GH with potency and efficacy comparable to GHRP-6 in rat and swine models, but — unlike GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 — did not elevate ACTH or cortisol even at doses 200-fold above the ED50, and had no effect on FSH, LH, prolactin or TSH 1.
Sequence, formula and CAS data are provided for identification. Batch-specific purity, mass-spec and HPLC data are on the Certificate of Analysis — ask for it with your order.
